This website sets no cookies and loads no fonts from third-party servers. That is why you see no cookie banner here. Page views are counted, but without cookies and in a way from which no person can be derived — the details are below. Beyond that, personal data is only processed if you use the contact form or write to me.

Hosting and server log files
When you access this website, the hosting provider automatically collects information your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, referrer URL, and browser and operating system identifiers. This data serves solely the secure and stable operation of the site.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — my legitimate interest in technically faultless operation. Logs are deleted automatically after a short period.
Visitor counting
For visitor counting I use Vercel Analytics, the service of my hosting provider Vercel Inc. It works without cookies, stores nothing on your device and reads nothing from it. What remains visible is the page requested, the referring page, an approximate location at country level, device type and browser — no identifier that could recognise you across multiple websites.
The counting runs over a path on this domain, so your browser opens no connection to a third-party server. The evaluation nevertheless takes place at Vercel Inc., based in the USA, with which a data processing agreement including standard contractual clauses is in place. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — my legitimate interest in knowing which content gets read. Because nothing is stored on or read from your device, no consent under § 25 TDDDG is required.
Own analytics
I count page views using a measurement I built myself. It sets no cookie, stores nothing on your device and reads nothing from it. What is recorded: the path requested, the time, the language version and the hostname of the page you came from — not its full address. Your IP address is not stored.
To tell repeat views within a single day from new ones, a check value is computed from IP address and browser identifier, salted with a random value that changes daily. That random value is deleted after two days. After that the check value can no longer be attributed to any person — not even by me. Recognition beyond the single day is therefore technically impossible.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — my legitimate interest in knowing which content gets read. Because nothing is stored on or read from your device, no consent under § 25 TDDDG is required. If your browser sends the “Do Not Track” setting, the view is not reported at all.
The counting data is held in a database operated by Neon with servers located in the European Union, on the basis of a data processing agreement. No further disclosure to third parties takes place. Entries are deleted automatically after 400 days at the latest.
Contact form and email
If you write to me via the form or by email, I process the data you provide — package, name, company where given, email address and your message — solely to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions arising from it.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for pre-contractual enquiries, otherwise your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You may withdraw that consent at any time without formality. The data stays with me until you request deletion or the purpose ceases; statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
The form sends your details to this website itself, not to a third-party form service. To deliver the resulting emails — the notification to my inbox and the acknowledgement to you — I use the sending service Resend, with which a data processing agreement is in place. There are no further recipients.
Fonts
The Archivo typeface used here is bundled at build time and served from the same server as the website. No connection to Google Fonts takes place and no IP address is transmitted to third parties.
Appointment booking
The appointment buttons lead to an external page operated by Cal.com — specifically its EU instance (cal.eu). Only once you arrive there does that provider process your data under its own terms. Nothing from Cal.com is loaded on this website itself.
External links
Links to urent-rental.de, the Apple App Store and LinkedIn open the respective page only after you click. The provider's own terms apply to any processing that happens there.
Your rights
You have the right at any time to obtain information free of charge about the personal data stored about you, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of processing. You also have the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection.
To exercise these rights, contact pascal@pascalzagarolo.de. Independently of this, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; the competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Encryption
This website is served exclusively over a TLS-encrypted connection, recognisable by the https in the address bar. Content you transmit to me cannot be read by third parties.
